The Story Behind My Little Shindig

Hey there, fab friend! 👋 I’m Katie — a mom, former elementary teacher, burrito devotee, and lifelong maker living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I’m also the heart and hands behind. My Little Shindig, where fabric is fabulous, creativity is contagious, and happy mail is a monthly ritual.

It all started during the mask-making craze of 2020, when I realized the world needed more than just any fabric—it needed fun, sassy, and unique fabric. So I got to work designing and curating custom prints you can’t find anywhere else. That spark turned into the Freakin’ Fabulous Fabric Clubs, and it’s grown from there!

Each month, my clubs deliver themed, surprise fabric packs straight to your door—with coordinating cuts and fun goodies to keep your creativity flowing. You never know exactly what’s coming (because surprises = joy), but trust me, everything plays well together.

✨ Here’s the current club lineup:

• Tote-Ally Fabulous Club – Two half yards of waterproof canvas + two panels, perfect for quick projects or last-minute gifts.

• Freakin’ Fabulous Fabric Club – Six extra-wide cotton woven fat quarters, a coordinating pattern, and monthly treats.

• SEW Fabulous Club – A party in a box! Includes cotton woven, waterproof canvas, smooth vinyl, and cork—with extra-wide cuts for max value.

🎲 And then there’s Wingo...

Born in 2021 to spark community during a tough time, Wingo is my wonderfully wacky twist on Bingo—mixed with a little fabric love and a splash of wine. 🍷 (Totally optional, of course—these days I’m usually cheering with sparkling water or iced tea in hand!)

Wingo started as a live YouTube event and quickly became a twice-a-year tradition filled with laughter, games, prizes, and silliness. In 2023, we expanded to in-person Wingo events, and they’ve been a hit! It’s all about connection, creativity, and having an absolute blast with your sewing friends—online or IRL.

So whether you're here for the fabric, the fun, or the fabulous people (or all three), you're officially invited to join the Shindig. 💖 And when things go sideways—broken needles, tangled threads, wild tension issues—you’ll find me where I always go for comfort: with a bean, rice, and cheese burrito in hand. 🌯
