Wingo: Where Fabric Meets Fun

🎲 What the Heck is Wingo?!

If you’ve ever dreamed of combining your love of fabric with a touch of friendly chaos, a sprinkle of prizes, and a whole lotta laughs—let me introduce you to Wingo.

Wingo is our twice-a-year, joy-packed tradition that brings fabric lovers together for a night (or several) of bingo-inspired sewing fun. Think: live games, themed sew-alongs, unexpected prizes, and more than a few snort-laughs. It’s like your favorite game night collided with your fabric stash... in the best way possible.

How it All Started

Back in 2021, when everything felt a little upside down and the world was desperately in need of something bright and silly, I brewed up an idea. What if we brought makers together for a fabric-fueled game night—with a little bingo, a little wine, and a lot of hijinks?

And just like that, Wingo was born. 🍷🧵

We kicked things off online with live games on YouTube, an explosion of silly prizes, and the kind of laughter that makes your face hurt. Our creative community showed up in full force, and we knew we were onto something special.

Wingo Today: More Than Just a Game

Wingo has since grown into a full-on celebration of creativity and connection. We now host in-person Wingo events—and let me tell you, they are a riot. At those, we provide pre-printed game boards, snacks, good vibes, and usually a themed sew-along or two. All you have to do is show up and be ready for fun.

And for our online Wingo family, you get a chance to sew your own game board from a kit we send out ahead of time. It’s like crafting your own ticket to the party! You’ll find a cozy corner of the internet in our Wingo forum, where everyone shares their makes, plays along, and cheers each other on.

Either way—whether you're in the room or on your couch—Wingo means prizes, silliness, creativity, and community. It’s a reminder of why we make things in the first place: for joy, for connection, and because it’s just so much fun.

What’s With the Wine?

Wine may be in the name, but it’s totally optional. These days, my Wingo beverage of choice is a massive iced tea or a sparkling water with a lemon wedge so fancy it makes me feel like I’m at a spa. The point is, it’s all about the vibe, not the vino.

Wanna Join the Fun?

We’re not spilling the details just yet, but let’s just say... if your sewing machine could use a party, keep your eyes peeled. When the next round of Wingo rolls around, you’ll want a front-row seat (or at least a cozy spot in your sewing room).
